FOOT ON THE GAS
BY: Christopher Coghill
Nothing ever happens until the sun goes down
At least not in this town so let's pull the blinds closed
Try to trick each other into believing something false
Who knows maybe we can fool the world while we're at it
We can travel the world just to go, so let's go right now!
Are you there? You didn't come with me!
I know it was short notice but we share dreams so I expected!
The offer still stands like a statue not to be torn down
The cobwebs can be dusted off from the time we haven't spent
Push down on the gas a little longer, come to nowhere faster
Small towns don't collapse big dreams; I've still been going strong
Life is a one time deal and we both want to do the most we can
If you jump, I'll get water so you don't fall too hard, ok?
I know the pain you have experienced and most I've gone through too
Believe me though I swear, and swear I won't abandon you
Friends are friends forever it's said, but what if we're more?
What if we're brothers?
